  On December 6 last year, Xicheng high-speed railway was officially opened for operation. Xicheng high-speed railway leads from Xi ‘an, Shaanxi Province, passes through Ankang and Hanzhong in Shaanxi Province to Guangyuan and Mianyang in Sichuan Province, and connects with Mianyang-Chengdu-Leshan Railway at Jiangyou Station, reaching Chengdu, with a total length of 658 kilometers.

  Xicheng high-speed railway operates at a speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The shortest travel time between the two places is reduced to 3 hours and 27 minutes, which is 7 hours shorter than the original shortest travel time between the two places.

  The opening of Xicheng high-speed railway will greatly ease the pressure of Spring Festival travel rush between Xi ‘an and Chengdu.   Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province and Jinan, Shandong Province are the two capital cities of Shiji High-speed Railway, with a total length of 298 kilometers. Its east and west ends are connected with Jiqing High-speed Railway and Shitaike Special Railway respectively, which enables Shandong, Hebei and Shanxi provinces to realize high-speed rail connection.

  The line also connects with Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway at Shijiazhuang Station and Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway at Dezhou East Station, with 11 stations in total. Now, from Lanzhou, you can reach Xi ‘an in 3 hours at the earliest, and it takes only 8 hours and 20 minutes to reach Beijing.

  Baolan high-speed railway is connected with Xi ‘an-Baoji high-speed railway and Lanxin high-speed railway, which have been opened to traffic, respectively, from the east and west directions. With the opening of this "last mile", it means that from Xi ‘an, Shaanxi Province, the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, to Urumqi, Xinjiang, a "high-speed railway silk road" with a length of more than 2,300 kilometers runs through the whole line, and the northwest of China is fully integrated into the national high-speed railway network, and the high-speed railways in eastern, central and western China have achieved full interoperability.
