Investigation of China Brand Car Glass
Among thousands of automobile parts, almost every one plays a vital role, and automobile glass is no exception. For the daily car, although we may turn a blind eye to the car glass, the quality of the car glass will directly affect our driving comfort and even driving safety.

How did they perform?
Many car owners have a blind spot for car glass, thinking that car glass is enough as long as it has a good view, but this is not the case. In addition to having a good view, the structure, thickness, blocking rate and transmittance of automobile glass also have great influence on driving comfort and safety, which is directly related to the personal safety of drivers and passengers. Before publishing the survey results, let’s learn some basic knowledge about automobile glass.
1. Types of automobile glass

(1) Tempered glass
Tempered glass is formed by tempering ordinary glass, which not only increases its strength, but also changes its internal structure to some extent.

2. Car glass logo
Usually, the logo of this glass will be printed on the car glass. By reading these logos, you can know the brand, structure, specifications and production date of this glass.

(7) Factory date of glass: the number represents the year, and 5 represents the production in 2015. The black dot on the left of the number represents the factory month, the black dot on the left represents the first half of the year, and the black dot on the right represents the second half. If there are a few black spots on the left, subtract a few from 7. As shown in the figure, if there is a black spot, subtract 1 from 7 to equal 6, that is, this glass was produced in June 2015. If the black dot is on the right side of the number, subtract a few black dots from 13.
The front windshield of Haval H8 is made of laminated glass of FY, which has passed Dutch certification and the factory date is September 2016.
Fuyao Glass is a domestic automobile glass manufacturer with large scale, high technical level and large export volume. The "FY" trademark is the only "China well-known trademark" in China automobile glass industry so far.
(2) Side window glass
The side window of Haval H8 is composed of two door glasses and two triangular window glasses. The window glass is made of tempered glass from Wuhan Yaohua pilkington (WYP), which passed the British certification and was manufactured in March 2017.
Although you may not pay attention to the triangular window at ordinary times, in fact, this piece of glass may be several times more expensive than the two side window glasses. This is because the possibility of the triangular window glass being broken is relatively small, so there are fewer replaceable auxiliary factory glasses, and the price will naturally be much higher after the original monopoly.
(3) Rear windshield
The rear windshield of Haval H8 also uses tempered glass from Wuhan Yaohua pilkington (WYP), which has passed the British certification and has the function of heating and defogging. The factory date is February 2017.

We measured the light transmittance of the side window with a light tester, and the results showed that the ultraviolet blocking rate was 50.6%, the infrared blocking rate was 68.5%, and the visible light transmittance was 82.7%.
2、WEY VV7
The front windshield of WEY VV7 is made of FY laminated glass, which has passed Dutch certification and the factory date is May 2017.
(2) Side window glass
The side window of WEY VV7 consists of two door glasses and a triangular window glass. The window glass is made of laminated glass of French brand Saint-Gobain, which was delivered in April 2017, and the rear row is privacy glass.
Saint Gobain is a famous French glass enterprise, which provides safety glass for 50% cars in Europe.
(3) Rear windshield
The rear windshield of WEY VV7 is the same as the side window glass. It uses laminated glass of Saint-Gobain, passed Dutch certification, and the factory time is April 2017.
(4) Thickness of side window glass
In the side window glass thickness test, the actual test result of WEY VV7 is 4.26mm, which is slightly thicker than Wuhan Yaohua pilkington (WYP) glass used by Haval H8.
（5）Barrier rate and transmittance of side window glass
We measured the light transmittance of the side window with a light tester, and the results showed that the ultraviolet blocking rate reached 100%, which was excellent. At the same time, the infrared blocking rate was 57.2% and the visible light transmittance was 88.5%.

The front windshield of Roewe i6 is laminated glass of Jiangsu Iron Anchor, a domestic brand, which has passed Dutch certification. The factory date is September 2016, and AS1 stands for glass with a light transmittance of at least 70%.
(2) Side window glass
The side window glass of Roewe i6 is made of toughened glass, which is also from Jiangsu Iron Anchor. It has passed Dutch certification, and the factory date is December 2016. The light transmission rate of AS2 stands for glass is not less than 70%.
(3) Rear windshield
The rear windshield is also made of tempered glass and has the function of heating and defogging. The factory time is September 2016.

We measured the blocking rate and transmittance of the Roewe i6 side window with a light tester, and the results showed that the blocking rate of ultraviolet rays was 9.6%, the blocking rate of infrared rays was 15.8%, and the transmittance of visible light was 95.6%, so the glass had an average blocking ability to ultraviolet rays.
The front windshield of Qoros 3 GT is made of laminated glass from FY, which has passed the Dutch certification and the factory date is September 2016. AS1 stands for glass with a light transmittance of at least 70%.
(2) Side window glass
The side window glass of Qoros 3 GT is made of tempered glass of Japanese brand Asahi Glass (AGC), which has passed Belgian certification. The factory date is August 2016, and the light transmission rate of AS2 stands for glass is not less than 70%.
Founded in 1907, Asahi Glass Corporation (AGC) is a Japanese glass manufacturing company, and its parent company is Mitsubishi Group, which is the second largest glass manufacturing company in the world. Asahi glass products are all kinds of glass products and semi-finished products. At present, the sales targets are manufacturers, automobile industry, lamps industry, construction industry and so on.
(3) Rear windshield
The rear windshield is also made of tempered glass made of Asahi Glass (AGC), which has passed Belgian certification. The factory date is August 2016, and it has the function of heating and defogging.
(4) Thickness of side window glass
In the side window glass thickness test, the actual test result of Qoros 3 GT is 3.60mm, which is slightly thinner than the tempered glass of Jiangsu iron anchor selected by Roewe i6.

We measured the blocking rate and transmittance of the side window of Qoros 3 GT with a light tester. The results showed that the blocking rate of ultraviolet light was 45.3%, the blocking rate of infrared light was 67.0%, and the transmittance of visible light was 85.9%.

(2) Side window glass
The side window of Chuanqi GS8 is composed of two door glasses and two triangular window glasses. The window glass is made of tempered glass, also from FY, which has passed the Dutch certification. The factory date is May 2017, and the back row is privacy glass.
(3) Rear windshield
The rear windshield is also made of tempered glass of FY, which has passed the Dutch certification. The factory date is May 2017, and it has the function of heating and defogging.

We measured the blocking rate and transmittance of Chuanqi GS8 side window with a light tester. The results showed that the blocking rate of ultraviolet light was 43.6%, the blocking rate of infrared light was 65.3%, and the transmittance of visible light was 85.1%.
The front windshield of Damai X7 is laminated glass from Shanghai Yaopikang Bridge, which has passed Dutch certification and the factory date is April 2017.
(2) Side window glass
The side window glass consists of two door glasses and a triangular window glass. The window glass is made of tempered glass, which is also from Shanghai Yaopi Kangqiao Automobile Glass Co., Ltd. and passed the Dutch certification. The factory date is May 2017.
(3) Rear windshield
Damai X7′ s rear windshield uses tempered glass of the same model as the side window glass, which has passed Dutch certification, and the factory date is May 2017, with the function of heating and defogging.

The light tester is used to measure the blocking rate and transmittance of the side window of Damai X7. The results show that the blocking rate of ultraviolet light is 51.1%, the blocking rate of infrared light is 68.2%, and the transmittance of visible light is 82.7%.
